This battery comes with a functional green heat shrink tape sealed around it, with the top "button" and base exposed to the elements. The battery showed fully charged on the meter. I found that the heat shrink wrap needed to be trimmed flush with the base of the battery in order to make good contact with my power pack. The battery, as sold, could not provide a good contact without trimming. I used a surgical scalpel to do the job, (because they are inexpensive and I had one). The battery is working perfectly on my signal transmitter. I will test for longevity and signal strength for the next 45 days, (30 days useful life, predicted for my application). I will report any flaws I find, here.
